VISION STATEMENT
For the next one thousand days, we will continue to pursue the development and nurturing of twenty first century scholars through the integration of Biblical truth across our school curriculum. We will deliver our mission in accordance with our values so that we produce results in our identified key areas. Finally, we will be intentional in our providing academic excellence in a distinctive Christian environment.
We will enhance our school plant with the construction of our new gymnasium. A utilization review of our current facilities will be conducted to address short, middle, and long term goals for improved efficiency. A building preventive maintenance schedule will be implemented.
The hiring of key positions will be a priority. Emphasis will be given to the securing of a curriculum director, technology instructor, additional music staff and coaching staff. We will place an emphasis on increasing teacher salaries to exceed the MAIS average and allow for more parity with the local public schools.
Our leadership team will develop a well defined set of core leadership principles for both student and faculty. A leadership task force that consists of staff, parents, and students will be developed. In addition, a leadership program will be implemented at the high school level for the purpose of cultivating student
leaders. We will be intentional about securing Christian leaders to address our students.
We will evaluate our curriculum and instruction in light of our impact upon the twenty first century student. A school technology plan will be adopted. Financial resources will be earmarked for the systematic implementation of steps identified in our school technology plan. All future textbook adoptions will include an E-book
option for student access through a personal computer. Finally, we will conduct a comprehensive study to determine funding resources for SBEC. Tuition will be evaluated in light of meeting the stated needs and will provide for 90% of school
operating costs.
